Research scientist at DeepMind

Ziga Avsec is a research scientist at DeepMind where he leads the genomics initiative within DeepMind’s Science program. He is interested in developing AI systems that can help us better understand the human genome sequence. Prior to that, he obtained his Ph.D. from the Technical University of Munich, supervised by Julien Gagneur.
