Biography

Dr. Adèle Helena Ribeiro is a postdoctoral researcher in the field of causal inference and explainable AI. Currently, she is a member of the Data Science in Biomedicine Laboratory at the University of Marburg, Germany, where she focuses on developing and applying cutting-edge machine learning and AI tools with causal and counterfactual reasoning to facilitate personalized, reliable, and explainable decision-making. Her particular interest lies in the health sciences domain, and she has directed her research toward addressing challenges in this field to bridge the gap between theory and practical applications. Dr. Ribeiro is a highlighted DAAD Postdoc-NeT-AI Fellowship recipient and worked previously as a postdoctoral researcher in the Causal AI Laboratory at Columbia University, USA. She holds a Ph.D., M.Sc., and B.Sc. degrees from the Institute of Mathematics and Statistics at the University of Sao Paulo (USP), Brazil.
