Roman Barták is a full professor of computer science at Charles University, Prague (Czech Republic). He works in symbolic Artificial Intelligence, particularly in automated planning and scheduling, constraint satisfaction, and knowledge representation. His research focus is on model-based approaches, where autonomous agents can learn models (of environment and own capabilities) and use them to make decisions (plan activities, find what they do not know). Roman Barták is AAAI and ACM Senior Member and EurAI Fellow.
