Joao Marques-Silva is Research Director at CNRS, being affiliated with IRIT, Toulouse, France. He is also the Principal Investigator of the Research Chair “DeepLever: Deep Learner Explanation and VERification” of ANITI, Artificial and Natural Intelligence Toulouse Institute. Before joining CNRS, Dr. Joao Marques-Silva held senior academic posts in the UK (Univ. Southampton), Ireland (Univ. College Dublin), and Portugal (Univ. of Lisbon). He has a PhD from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, and an Habilitation from the Technical University of Lisbon. He is a Fellow of the IEEE and recipient of the 2009 CAV Award.
